A boy n his pet, a city n it’s resident.

Facts. Pet store in Warren mi.

Boy who lives in Warren.

Warren doesn’t allow pet pot belly pigs, but you can sell them there.

Parent asks pet shop cashier if you can have a pot belly pig in Warren and is told yes.

Parent buys pig for Christmas present for boy.

Boy has pet into March.

Neighbor calls city and complains.

Mayor and police chief can not find a way for the boy to keep his pet.

Boy loves pet but parents have to take it back to the store to see if they will buy it back.

Store buys pig back.

Child is heartbroken.

Mayor and chief make store post sign that no pigs are allowed in Warren…

End of story. It makes me sick to think that an adult would do something like that to a child! With neighbors like that who needs enemies.

Sure the parent should have checked with the city first instead of relying on the pet shop employees to know if it was legal.

The pet shop should have trained their employees better.

The city should have required the shop to post a sign from the begining, if they are selling any animal the city doesn’t allow.

The cashier should have found out the answer instead of making one up.

They all need to sit down together with the boy and first apologize fully to the child. Then explain to him what happened and why. Now do anything the boy wants that will chear him up.

Scar a child for life. Good going everybody. You all are responsible for hurting this little boy. Separating him from the pet he played with and loved. SO FIX IT !

The Poor child. And if he grows up with a little anger management problem, you all can pat yourselves on the back for that one.

You see people, every one of your actions affects others, no matter who you are or what it is. So think before you act next time! Before you scar someone for life, unintentionally!

What a shame!

Package Delivery Jobs, Pushing the limits!

Check out this article from Yahoo about Package delivery jobs, then stop and think about two and a half steps per second for the rest of your working years, even if you don’t feel your best some days or if your feet are tired and hurting. Then imagine going through the rest of the stuff you read. This may change your mind if you are thinking about signing on the dotted line with one of them.

What the package delivery industry is doing to it’s drivers and for a wage not even close to six figures is a crying shame to say the least. They pay you upper low class wages around $75,ooo and that’s before you pay for your truck and all the expenses of operating it. (FEDEX is that way, I’m not sure about the others.)

What is common about them all, is the way you have to run around with packages up to 80 pounds, like a chicken with your head cut off at 2.5 steps a second, except for taking baby steps on ice, (the only time they allow you to walk at a somewhat normal pace).

They give you stops along your route and they have factored in times to be at each one.

If your lucky you will get promoted to management. Lucky because the management can fire you on just one of their hundreds of rules, laws, and procedures they have for you to follow. From the time your personal car hits their property, to the time you leave their property, you are theirs and you will make no complaints about it. In some cases even after work on your own time!

In today’s age where the average worker is expected to change jobs more than 7 times in their life, you won’t last there for a full career. You will run into a come and go manager if you are there long enough, who doesn’t like you and they will fire you for something so stupid you will cuss them to your grave.

A couple of decades ago you heard of many post office shootings happening by stressed out employees being pushed to the limit. Well this is exactly where the delivery industry is going only at two and a half steps a second folks.

The owners need to stop looking at the bottom line for a while and invest a little back into their employees and in management training. Then they need to slow down the pace a little and seriously fine tune their procedures towards being a little
worker friendly, because there isn’t a driver out there that really likes the company they work for. Go Figure!

If you decide it’s the career choice for you, than put on your running shoes if they allow them and I hope you get a parking spot next to the door!

Well I have finally had it and I might just sound like Shawn Hannity or Mark Lavine with this one and I am not talking about the swearing either.

I just caught an article about two women who were suing a major fast food chain for not being able to wear religous headscarves on their heads while at work.

I do not know if they are legal citizens or not so this is a two part article.

In July 2008, two Muslim women, Toi Whitfield of Detroit and Quiana Pugh of Dearborn, complained, after a manager at a fast food restaurant in Dearborn said they could not wear Islamic headscarves at work. Nabih Ayad, their attorney, filed suit and said that the case may go to trial in a couple of months.

The employees are required by the restaurant dress code to wear baseball type hats and of a certain color only and nothing else. That’s the policy on headgear. You wear the hats and nothing else or you are fired.

The following is if they are not legal citizens of America.

This is where you cover your eyes, because this is America people and not the Middle East. All I can say to those two women, if you aren’t legal citizens and you don’t like the way we do things, go back where you came from. You either live and work in this country as we all do or Good Riddens to the both of you and take your God Damn towels back with you.

How appalling you both are and why do you think you are any better or different because of your religion (than the millions before you with different religions who have worked for that company), that you or anyone should deserve special treatment because of your religion.

In America we generally don’t push religion or religious beliefs on our employers or anyone for that matter.

Listen, if you are just visiting, WE DON’T WEAR FRICKING TOWELS ON OUR HEADS AND IF YOU WAN’T TO THAT’S FINE WITH MOST AMERICANS BECAUSE WE DO HAVE THIS THING CALLED FREEDOM OVER HERE. But in the mean time don’t try too push your ways off on us unless you are legal citizens and if you are, than I’m truly sorry and you have every right to do what you are doing. You go girls!

If you don’t want to become a legal citizen and just want too live here, work and still honor your country, then get on the next boat and go back too your country, because we have enough of that kind all ready and really don’t need any more of your type around here. SO QUIT TRYING TO CHANGE OUR WAYS.

Also, You claim to be kind and compassionate people, so prove it for once.

Second part. If they are legal, than some things are expected to be changed and you now have the right also to try to change things that don’t suit you.

If you are legal citizens, than maybe change some of your ways to fit the country you choose to live and raise your children in! We aren’t where you used to live! Try waving our flag during your ralies and quit desecrating our American soil by waving flags of other nations.

While you make a descent living over here and raise your family, just remember that there are service men and women in the line of fire, dying for our freedom in this country, the freedom you are enjoying. Waving anything but an American flag is just like spitting in their faces or on our fallen soldiers graves.

Many people have come to this country with their whole family and they all learned english, became legal citizens and fought and died for our freedom. They live in average American homes that speak only English and that taught the ideas this country was founded upon too their children.
They taught their children too pledge allegiance to our flag and our country.

You see, once they were here, they would have taken up arms against their prior homelands if America felt it was necessary to do so.

Face facts, there is not one single group of people in this country that will ever have everything their way and thats because we learn too give and take in our society.

You chose too become citizens, live here, work here and raise your family.

So answer this, why do most of you still honor the country you came from, more than the country you choose too live? Remember, that doesn’t go for all, but it fits for most!

P.S. Thats what I meant to say and no one can misinterpret that.

Group input, Messing with Education

Texas is usually a roll model state for new school text books, being a big influence as to how the other states update their own text books when necessary.

So what is going on you ask? Well Texas needs new books and there is a battle brewing between several groups, over what information is going to be included in the new books and who should decide it.

Apparently there are many groups that want to change, add, or eliminate things in the text books, because of their beliefs or lifestyles. Some people want to remove things altogether, while others want to add some things that never happened and teach them as if they had.

Some of what they want is pretty extreme and so the battle is on and expected to go to court and take years to decide. So what does this tell us about the education system in this country?

Well, In the years gone by, the education system worked well and taught everyone equally and properly. Back then, both schools and government seemed to run pretty smoothly.

Lawmakers were able to deal and agree on changes that were good for the majority, while the educational system operated very well and equally throught the country. There was less fighting and disagreements than there is nowadays. Educating our children was left to the teachers and administrators and no one butted in.

Then, in the nineteen seventies, in came new ways of teaching, along with different material and books from school to school. Each thinking they had the best curriculum and things just kept on getting more and more seperated in the US school system.

Teachers also started moving around for better pay and started to loose their passion for teaching, causing students to fall between the cracks. This continued on for years as good teaching and solid curriculums slowly fell apart, to the point that it has actually affected each passing generation of students who grew up. The very people who grew up to become our lawmakers, educators and parents we have running things today.

School is a persons first job, so to speak and until the seventies, the kids had learned that everyone is equal and everyone deserves the same fair treatment. Everyone got
the same yellow pencil, the same books and learned the same thing as every class in every state before them, whether they liked it or not.

Students graduated and went on with their lives with equal mentality. The system worked well because everyone was educated on an equal basis and taught just what the school system thought everyone needed to get them to college or through life.

With all the trouble it has now, school doesn’t give people the intelligence or send them into the world with enough intestinal fortitude to figure out how to run their daily lives. You hear almost daily, somebody who is wondering how someone that they know has made it this far in their life.

Poor education is affecting our decision making and our ability to work together to solve problems as a group. To decide what the best answers for everyone would be.

Instead of creating everyone equal like the Declaration of Independence says we are entitled to be, the schools are creating individuals with no common threads or ties between them.

The schools used to teach patriotism! We used to pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States, not the seperately taught states.

The schools are here because a country was created long ago and in order for it to prosper we needed educated people to keep it moving in the right direction. Everyone is therefore entitled to a good education.

We all know America is just a big melting pot of nationalities all trying to live together under one roof, but when it comes to education and what should be in text books, why dont we leave that up to the educators who deal with it daily. They know best!
